CED maintains two reference and information centres. Virtually of course we are present at www.doccentre.net.
The centre in Mumbai, which is also the registered office, houses a good collection of clippings - post 80s for most topics, and three decade old on critical issues. The archives of the clippings are house in a three storied stacker at Bangalore.
Books, reports, and journals are distributed between these two centres. However the cataloginng system is such that free exchange and movement is possible between the two centres - the only constraint is space, and the mover: usage and requirement.
At Mumbai we have a basic readintg space, and a facility to host a meeting of twelve comfortably around a table.. But we have had upto fifty people watching a film or attending a lecture.
At Bangalore, besides the three storied archive, we have a thousand square feet space to host meetings/workshops, plus a multipurpose terrace space of 1200 sq feet.
