As a part of youth and climate Change CED has a programme to engage students in various ways in generating awareness as well as develop action on Climate Change. One of the innovative ways in which CED has got students to engage with Climate Change is to promote Climate Change as a topic for their regular student assignments. This is done by engaging with teachers, through regular mailers, and information on Climate Change.

In the past two years we have declared Climate Change as a "Happy Topic", which means that students get free access to CED documentation and facilities, when they do assignments on climate change.

For example Aadi Vaidya, Shobhit, Prajakt, Sheetal students from St. Xavier College developed a power point presentation and document titled EFFECTS OF GLOBAL WARMING ON THE COASTS as part of their assignment work.

Madhulika Dasgupta from Sophia College referred on Copenhagen.

Shanelle Rodrigues from St. Xavier's college: CLIMATE CHANGE: COPENHAGEN AND BEYOND

Anjali, a volunteer at CED from Mahtomedi High School, Minnesota worked on the Copenhagen Accord.

Bhargavi G Naidu, Zainab Rampurwala, Ifrah Meer and Joyce Pereira from Dr. BMN College did a perception study of their student on climate change. To inform their project, CED showed them documentary films and presentations on climate change.

They were also shown powerpoint presentations on Electricity as well as on documentation.

Three Students of St. Xaviers' are volunteering under the SIP programme. As science students they have developed a few instructional slides to augment CED's basic slide show: Let's Understand climate change.

They also did some research on the Net and added some rich visual material and charts for a few other slides. The students will continue to study and look for other climate education material on the net.
