COLLEGES & CED
-------------------------------------------

This July and August 2005 we at CED hope to establish contacts with departments of Humanities in various colleges of Bangalore. This would cover an introduction to CED, the services and publications and would also be a sensitization to social and development issues.

If you are a part of any college set up in Bangalore or have contacts please help us make inroads. Send information to Veena

JUMBO SALE @ CED
--------------------------------------------------

Over the years CED has helped a number of NGOs and small publishers in selling their publications. CED has stocked and distributed books and grey literature on social change and development - material which could not be found in any conventional bookstore.

We are holding a 'JUMBO SALE' at CED between August 16 to 30, 2005.   The are around 1000 titles and cover categories such as Politics, Health, Social Change, Women’s Studies and so on.

CRITICAL CONCERNS
--------------------------------------------------

Is the title of a new monthly compilation. It consists of about 100 clippings from newspapers, journals, the net and other sources for anyone concerned about the critical issues and concerns of the day. It provides a monthly overview of developments, primarily for activists, NGOs and development workers who may not be in a position to access and read newspapers and journals on a regular basis but need to keep in touch with developments that are of concern to them. This month's edition features articles on rural employment, gender & society, child rights, urbanisation, environment, reservation NGOs & social action. For more information and a sample copy contact: jacintha@doccentre.net
