All undergraduate students who have used CEDs research facilities for their various assignments and projects, during the year 2004, are invited to submit their final product, for the Best Assignments Scholarship. Ten assignments will be selected based on their quality in terms of content and analysis. Those whose assignments are chosen will be entitled to:

OUTREACH SCHOLARSHIP FOR SOCIAL WORK GRADUATES
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CED invites applications from the graduating students of Social Work Colleges, who on graduating this year wish to spend three months in Documentation, Study and Reflection. Under the scholarship, you will visit three NGOs or Peoples Organisation and document their work as well as spend two months at CED doing secondary documentation work.
The Scholarship is for three months from May 2005 to July 2005. The Scholarship provides an honorarium of Rs. 18,000/-. Plus support for simple boarding and lodging while on tour to the NGOs and surface travel expenses on actuals.

Education and on the National Curriculum Frameworkand NCERT. These will be soon put up as

In January 2003,tribals 'illegally' occupied a part of the wildlife sanctuary in Mathunga,
Kerala. Forcible eviction by police resulted in the death of tribal and injuries to
others. Leading the tribal resistance was Janu, a young woman who had mobilized their
protest at the government's failure to honour their commitment to the tribals: the
restoration of land alienated from them for "development". Dispossessed of their
lands, the adivasis feared they would lose their identity and their livelihood.
