Story
It concerns two little boys, one
a proverbial grumbler for whom nothing is good enough, and the other
a congenital optimist for whom nothing is
impossible.
The first little boy, the grumbler, is put in a room full of beautiful
toys. He comes out an hour later tear-stricken and miserable: the dolls
aren't pretty, the golliwog is cockeyed, the toy-train
doesn't work, the batteries are
rundown.
The other little fellow is put in a room full of horse manure.
An hour passes, two hours pass, and there is no sign of him. They
open the door and he is seen rummaging around in all that horse manure.
So they ask him what the hell are you doing?
He gives a beaming smile and says: If there is so much
horse shit, there's got to be a pony somewhere - I am looking for
the pony."
