Outcome

Schumacher Centre Delhi (SCD) is one of the newest among a number of
organisations in the UK, US and elsewhere that make up the Schumacher
Family. SCD was established with the initial aim of propagating
Schumacher's name, ideas and thinking at the national level to
government, diplomatic, corporate and development circles. For the past
three years SCD has worked as a forum for interchange of relevant
ideas and thinking in rural development and disseminate knowledge
through trainings and other means.

Educational Qualification:
Masters Degree in Commerce
Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
MDP at IIM Calcutta on " Management of Non- Profit and Non - Government
organisation".
Experience:
He has been working with the NGO Sector for last 15 years. For the last
sixyears, Executive Director of Financial Management Service Foundation
[FMSF],a development resource organisation in India set up by EED,
Germany to monitor the projects funded by them. Further, other areas of
intervention ofFMSF include Capacity Building, Networking, Consultancy,
Information Dissemination, and Research. He has been a resource person
and trainer on Financial Management, Legal Compliances and Governance
of Organisation both
at National and International level. Has been member of Finance
Advisory Group of Council for World Mission, U.K. based charity from
1999 - 2001. He is the editor of the half yearly magazine 'INTERface'
published by FMSF.
This mainly provides information on finance, legal regulations and
governance of NGOs.
He has published two books on behalf of FMSF
- "Legal and Finance Handbook for Voluntary Organisations"
- "Manual of Financial Management and Legal Regulations"
He has wide experience of NGO governance being associated with many
NGOs. He has extensively travelled in every nook and corner of India
and world wide. He has been associated with evaluations of many
development projects on behalf of various agencies.
He has facilitated workshops in India and other parts of the world such
as China, Bangkok, Germany. He was invited by the Direct Taxes Regional
Training Institute, , Bangalore to facilitate a workshop on Assesment
of Trusts attended by the Income Tax Commissiones and Directors. He has
been a panel speaker for seminars conducted by the Institute of
Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on Not-for-profit Organisations.
