    Developing Documentation, Presentation and Communication Skills

    Introduction

    To succeed in today's highly competitive environment, one needs to communicate well and present successfully. The emphasis on knowledge management also makes it imperative that official records be impeccably documented for easy retrieval and reference. Feedback from several Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) has repeatedly drawn attention to the need for training in documentation, presentation and communication.
     
    The three days training programme on  'developing documentation, presentation and communication skill' seeks to address this need. It is aimed at strengthening the ability of participants to document, present and communicate using innovative approaches. Thereby adding value to the work of civic organisations that provide pivotal services to society.

    The workshop would focus on providing the latest professional tools available. In particular, the programme is aimed at strengthening the capacity of NGOs to articulate and disseminate their messages effectively to a wider audience.


    Objectives

      a.. To equip participants with effective tools and techniques toundertake high-quality and innovative documentation of learning and change processes.
      b.. To develop effective presentation and communication skills of participants through hands-on experiences with appropriate methods.


    Who can attend?
    The programme is intended for middle management level professionals from NGOs, CBOs and Voluntary organizations or any individual wishing to work in the development sector.

    Methodology
    The training consists of structured learning exercises, presentations,case studies and games/activities. We favour a participatory approach anda high level of interaction among participants and trainer.

    Duration
    Three days

    Timings: 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (including Lunch, two Tea-breaks)

    Maximum Number of Participants:  20

    Participation Fee
    The charge per participant for three days is Rs 6,500/-. This will include three days Lunch, Tea snacks, training cost and resource materials. Rs. 8,000/- to avail residential facility. Participants are encouraged to bear their travel expenses.

    Seats are limited and thus advance registration is suggested. This program has been designed to accommodate maximum 20 participants.  To be sure of participation, the nomination(s) may be sent at the earliest along with the participation fee. (Registration form attached).

    Modes of Payment
    Payment should be made by Demand Draft in favour of 'International Resources for Fairer Trade' payable at Mumbai.

    Resource Person
    Dr. Meena Galliara: Chairperson, Social Enterprise Cell, NMIMS

    Dr. Galliara holds a Master's Degree in Social Welfare Administration from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. Her doctoral research is in the area of 'Social Responsibility of the Corporate Sector towards Community Development'. She is actively involved with the NGO sector and has also conducted innovative field action projects in the area of management of rural entrepreneurship. She has been involved in designing and conducting Training for the community as well as the Civil Society Organizations. She has also completed a number of short-term courses on different aspects of training and imparting skills. She possesses strong training skills. She has been with the development sector for the past 18 years.
