Training Programme on: “Legal Resources for Social Action & Empowerment”
August 22 – September 04, 2007
Dear Friends,
This is to announce our programme. on “Legal Resources for Social Action and Empowerment” scheduled for August 22nd to September 4th, 2007.
This programme is meant to equip Social activists and Religious working at the grassroots and also young and promising people’s leaders from NGOs who need to be equipped with adequate legal knowledge.
People who are working at the grassroots often overlook the fact that law has the potential to usher in social change and to empower the weaker sections. This potential of law needs to be optimized positively and effectively used to achieve justice and to bring about social changes in order to build a new and just society. With out any rudimentary legal training, this objective cannot be achieved.
We will be happy to have one or two persons deputed from your organisation for this Legal training. To register for the programme, kindly fill in the attached Registration Form and send it to:
Co-ordinator,
Human Rights Unit,
Indian Social Institute,
24, Benson Road, Bangalore 560046
or send an email to: isihumanrights@gmail.com.
The Registration fee of Rs.250/- is to be sent along with the registration form, either by M.O. or DD, in favour of ‘Indian Social Institute, Bangalore’. The course fees is Rs.2,000/- which is highly subsidized. Few scholarships are available for those who are unable to pay the full fees.
