1. COMMUNITY HEALTH AND DEVELOPMENT TRAINERS' PROGRAM:
The 38th CHDTP in English is scheduled to begin on 12th January 2004 and end on 21st
February 2004. The course is participatory from the onset. The course covers various
need-based areas of health and development and skills to equip participants in health/development analysis, participatory community appraisal, management, training and trainers, gender sensitization, project planning for health and development programs and resource mobilization. {Seats are
limited to 15}

Costs                  : The application forms are available at the cost of Rs. 100/-each.
Registration fees: Rs. 3000/- of which Rs 1000/- is returned a year later on completion of requirements.

The Course is subsidized and INSA India bears the cost of their board, lodge, tuition fees, field visit and follow-up services.

2. THREE-DAY WORKSHOPS ON TRANSFORMATION FOR HEALTH.
During the workshop participants will be facilitated to re-think strategies to address
poverty and ill health. The workshop adapts Paulo Friere' s participatory methods
and focuses on skills necessary for participatory education. The workshop
will cover Communication, Team Building and processes for shifting existing
paradigms using
Life skills approach (17th - 19th September 2003),
Gender approach (15th - 17th October 2003) and
Human Rights approach (12th - 14th November 2003) for motivating communities.

Registration fee: Rs. 1500/-
INSA India will bear the costs of workshops materials, board lodge and reimburse one-way travel to and from Bangalore {1st class shortest route, on production of vouchers}

3.THREE-DAY WORKSHOP ON COMMUNITY BASED BLINDNESS PREVENTION
(10th - 12th December 2003) {Seats limited to 15}
Costs: Registration fee: Rs. 500/-

INSA India will bear the costs of workshops materials, board lodge and reimburse one-way travel to and from Bangalore {2nd class shortest route, on production of vouchers}
 

Need based Workshops on HIV/AIDS; Gender; Life Skills development; Communication and Participatory training methods could be organized upon request on consultancy basis, for groups of 25-30 each in English, Hindi, Kannada Tamil or Telugu.
