What You are Searching?
Please note that through this screen you can search database of electronic documents that CED has archived for personal reference and study on issues of public importance. These documents have been culled, digitised and indexed from a large number of newspapers, magazines, journals, as well as websites, emails, and files. You can query this database by Title, Author, Keywords, Date, and also publication . Please note that , NOT all clippings and articles at CED have been digitized. So while our electronic collection is substantial, the researcher is advised to come to CED.
How to Search?
In Keywords: the search is on keywords selected by us and not on full text. You can used part of word as well.
In Title: this searches for the entered word/part of word/phrase in the title of the document only
In Author: this searches for the entered name/part of name/combination of names from the authors field only ( Hint: try first_name second name, or just second name, or second_name, first_name)
In Date give a range of dates in the dd/mm/yyyy format. This is the date of the publication.
To narrow down your search, you can fill in more than one field. Just make sure that whatever you key-in is correct.

Search Results
The record of all documents fulfilling the conditions of your query will be displayed, 30 records at a time. The order of results is by default latest entry ( as opposed to latest document) first.
The result will display in the following order :
Total number of results matching the query
Title of the Electronic Document.(with
hot
link to URL) Icon ( Back up copy at CED).
Author
Date
Keywords and/or a small description of the document
For Full Documents
Please note that you have to register yourself as a CED Library Member, Scholar or Distance Associate to obtain the link to the document. The link to the URL has been linked to the title in each record. Just click on it to reach the Original Source. Since links get outdated often, and the documents concerned is of public interest we have a back-up copy of the full document which can be accessed.by clicking the "Copy" icon next to the title.
During the process of digitisation, some errors may have
creeped
in. This database is for your convenience only. While we have
tried our
level best to ensure an error free reproduction, you are advised to
double check
with the original or tiff file, particularly for figures and sensitive
data.
