District displaced peoples Forum and "SPREAD" is happy to
inform you all that on 14th March,2007 , on the * 10th ANNIVERSARY* of
International Day of Action Against Dams and for rivers, water and Life
is organizing one day Peoples Assembly at Koraput, and public
march
SAY NO TO BIG DAMS- SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL .
Dam affected
people from the region will participate in the discussion including
public March at the end.
There are 20
Large Dams in Koraput region and Govt. is planning
for more. The dams have displaced Lakhs of people and majority of them
are tribals and Dalits and other deprived classes.
We request you
to participate in the above event on 14th
March, 2007.
