Deepalaya is looking for an Executive Director who can take the
organziation to greater heights. The job requires constant interaction
with government officials, corporate bodies, funding sources,
communities and the staff. The Director will be responsible for
developing policy guidelines for programmes of work, communication and
fund raising, public relations, advocacy and networking, in addition to
the overall day-to-day management of Deepalaya.
The person should have a minimum of 7 years experience in a senior
position responsible for the management of large projects of a national
or international NGO. S/he must have education and training at a
post-graduate level in any of the social sciences. Formal
qualifications in management will be preferred. High proficiency in the
English language is essential. Experience in preparing reports and
proposals will be valuable.
