    We are pleased to announce the Happy Topics for this year 2006-07.  To encourage better and more analytical work, CED has instituted ten scholarships for the ten best assignments done by undergraduate students as part of their course in the year 2006-2007. Reference work should be done in CED and reference at CED on these issues is free.

    GROWING INEQUALITY AMONG ELITES

    We are inviting students to submit projects on social issues that they have prepared in the past year. Assignments will be judged for their understanding of development and rights issues as well as analysis of trends.

    The Award includes: a cash prize of Rs.5000/-. Free long term membership of CED worth Rs.1200/-. CED books, computer usage and CED services worth Rs. 5000/-

    And not only that your assignment will be published as a DOCPRINT.

    City Farming - film on Urban Agriculture
    Duration 16'47" - Produced by CED
    City farming is an innovative technology which deals with farming in urban areas and essentially on terraces, balconies and even on the walls of civil constructions. Dr.R T Doshi has perfected a method of growing fruits and vegetables for domestic consumption, which involves relatively low labour input, organic production methods and very high yields.
