A VIRTUAL FACELIFT

CED has redesigned its website, making
it more content rich, more navigatable, visually appealing, more user
friendly ….hopefully ! We need you to tell us …Do visit
us at www.doccentre.net
and give us your feedback. For all our members (those with login
names and passwords, our entire collection of 17740 electronic
documents can be searched for and even downloaded. If you have
difficulties, contact us …veena@doccentre.net. For those of
you who are not members and would like to make CED a virtual reality,
you pay just Rs.221/- per year and become our Distance Associate.
It doesn’t matter where you are, you’ll have CED at your
fingertips ! Pass the word along to all those you know.

LAUNCHING CC

Not with either Champagne or Coconuts
but with the people who matter …Documentalists ! Clearly
connected with Critical Concerns our latest information package, is
the process CED uses in its documentation system. We see CC as
something which documentation centres (either independent or part of
organizations) can benefit from …
CED picks up what is critical and of concern and
puts it together and provides a monthly
selection of articles and clippings from newspapers, journals
and other sources. CED’s concern as an information activist is
to slow down the buzz and the trivializing of what is CRITICAL and of
CONCERN. This is an opportunity to give these burning issues their
due importance for reflection and action.
CC launch is happening in the third
week of September. (We will inform you of the exact date). Do write to
us for a sample copy.
