*The Basic Course in Development Action** (BCDA 4)*
*What is IDeA?
*An initiative of *the ant* , IDeA aims to develop the capacities of NGOs in the Northeast. It runs short 3-7 days training modules for people already in the field of development.

*What is this Course?
*This 5 day BCDA Course is the flagship course of IDEA. It helps development workers get a perspective on development and deepen their understanding of the voluntary sector. This in turn makes them more effective in their action.
*For whom?
*Leaders of new and small grassroots NGOs; senior field staff of NGOs (with 3-5 years experience)
*Who are the trainers ?*
Course led by qualified and experienced development professionals who still work hands-on in grassroots development work
*Main Course Content :
*Concept and politics of development; social analysis; role and approaches of NGOs; skills in working with individuals, groups & communities.
